Africa, rubber tree
During the Industrial Age, rubber products were in high demand during the but rubber trees could only thrive in a very narrow set of climatic regions. Rubber uses in the early 20th century include but are not limited to: hoses, belts, dampeners, adhesives, gloves, pencil erasers, shoes soles, and elastic products.
